Workout at home!!

Sometimes being a mother can be stressful. We rarely get alone time, and it is hard for us to make time to go to the gym. Gym memberships are getting more and more expensive and then you either have to find a sitter, or arrange for the gym, (like the YMCA) to watch your child while you work out. I know I wouldn't be comfortable doing that, and I wouldn't get in a good workout because I would be thinking about Ty the whole time and worrying about him.

I found that working out at home is so much easier!! And you often get better results. I workout while Ty is in bed for the evening. I know exactly where he is, I know he is safe, so I can just focus on my workout. Many of my mom friends work out at nap time or before their child wakes up. I found that with mine and Ty's schedule, night time works best for us.

What kind of workouts are good for at home? That is a question I often get. I highly recommend any of the Beachbody programs. Turbo Fire is what really helped me shred 20lbs!!! 20lbs in just a matter of months! Chalean Johnson will be your trainer and she will lead you to success! She keeps you motivated and she is so much fun to workout with!

I also recommend P90X, Chalean Extreme, Brazil Butt Lift, Insanity, Asylum and many more!

You can find all the information about great at home workout programs on this site:

I will be forming challenge groups this week so we can all keep each other accountable and lose that weight, or tone up in time for summer!

You have to make a change to see a change!

A little trip down memory lane!

Since Ty's 3rd Birthday is quickly approaching, I thought it would be nice to do a little trip down memory lane, with pictures! Now be prepared for a photobomb. Don't say I didn't warn you! Many of these pictures, I am adding on here for my own motivation to remain fit. I have lost about 20lbs in the last 4-5 months and I am still going strong! I am now a Beachbody Coach and so proud to be a part of a wonderful team!

This first picture was taken in the Summer of 08'. Most likely July. I remember my sister and I were showing off our awesome Olympics t-shirts! I believe I was wearing a size 5.

This next picture is at about 6 months pregnant! I couldn't believe how much I was actually showing!
Now here come the shockers. At about 7 months I popped. I looked about 9 months pregnant! I always wore my regular clothes though. I guess I just didn't like the look of maternity clothes. They made these awesome bands, where you could have your pants un-buttoned, you put the band around your pants to hold them up. I loved those things!
By now, I was feeling pretty huge. Although I loved being pregnant. Not something I would want to do for myself right now, of course, but I am honestly looking in to becoming a surrogate.
I bet most of you are thinking, "wow! huge!". Well, I was huge! I was almost 42 weeks pregnant at this point. This was taken the morning of my induction, on April 21st, 2009. That was honestly the best day of my life, and forever will be. I cannot imagine my life without Ty, and I cannot believe he is almost THREE!! Where has the time gone? Now here are some cute squishy baby pictures!
Tyson James arrived in to the world on April 21st, 2009, weighing 8lbs, 10oz and was 21 inches long at 6:21pm.
Here is Ty at 5 months! He was such a big boy!

Here I am at almost 6 months postpartum, and for some reason I honestly thought I would be able to wear a bikini by then! I was very wrong. I didn't care about my health. I was so focused on my new role as a mother that even getting up to shower was not on my high priority list. I let myself go. It wasn't until the end of 2011, where I would decide that I needed to be healthy, to be a better role model to Ty, and to live life to its fullest.

Ty and I at his 1st Birthday Party

15 months old. I was still carrying around that baby belly!
Ty's second Birthday! We just had some cake and ice cream at our house, it was lovely. And take note, that I am now expanding in these pictures! I am not losing the slightest bit of weight. I was gaining!!
Now, this picture was taken in May 11'. I was now up to a size 8! It wasn't until someone told me I had gained a lot of weight, that I actually looked in the mirror and realized it was true. I had no self confidence at all. I didn't look good in the clothes I once looked good in. I was depressed.
Summer 2011So in Novemember of 2011, I started on a fitness journey. And, I have lost 20lbs!! I am now happier, have a ton of self confidence, and I can proudly say, I went from a size 8, back to a size 5!! Some of my jeans are even a size 4! I am so proud of myself for losing the weight, in that amount of time. It took me reaching my lowest point to finally realize I needed to do something about my weight. So I did. And now, I get to share the knowledge I have gained, with others, who want to make a positive change in their liftstyle!

I still cannot believe my little man is turning THREE very soon! Life sure flies by when you are having fun!!

I am back, and stronger than ever!

Well, I am back! After my miserable failure with P90X, I decided to do something else. I have decided to do Brazil Butt Lift, a Beachbody workout. Let me tell you, this workout is amazing! I have had so many people ask me about it, and even tell me that they have ordered it because of me! It feels so good to be able to inspire others, and help others on this road to becoming fit!

I have decided to become a Beachbody Coach! With the help of my good friend Sara (who has inspired me more than anyone ever could), I decided to take a leap of faith, and just do this! Not only will it be more motivation for me, but I will be able to work with others, and maybe help some people out who have failed before.

I have noticed a HUGE change in my body thanks to BBL, and Shakeology, and have been sharing my before and now pictures on Facebook, so I may as well share on my blog!

I feel fabulous!

So, P90X kicked my ass. I injured myself, tore my abdominal muscles and then I sat on the couch and had no motivation.

I failed.

I have a medical issue which doesn't allow me to perform at the best of my ability, but that shouldn't really be an excuse.

While talking to my coach, I have decided to switch from P90X to the Brazil Butt Lift. It seems like such a fun workout. Each session is about 30 minutes long, with some that are 45 minutes long. It just seems more tailored to me, and to the areas where I really want to see results.

My challenge pack arrived this morning.

I will start tonight!

Day 3-5, 85 more to go!

I am sore. I am so sore! This weekend really got me off track. I really thought I would be able to wake up in the mornings and do this, but I was wrong. I did manage to do my workouts while Little Man napped though. Right now I am doing P90x Classic, but I think I am going to switch to Lean. I have weight that I really need to lose before I start getting ripped (hah hah). I am drinking my Shakeology once a day, and loving it! It is a meal replacement shake with lots of goodies in it! I can't wait for lunch time! For breakfast, I had egg whites and whole wheat toast. I must say, I had that at 7:40am, and it in now 1:45pm, and guess what? I am not hungry yet! Usually I would be hungry by 10am, after eating sugary cereal, fast food breakfast, or white toast! But after this breakfast, I was full, and I am still full. Water has become my best friend. No pop for me anymore.

I have had a few people ask me if I am getting paid to do P90x, drink Shakeology, and write this blog, but I am not. I am just writing this for myself, to keep track of my goals, my accomplishments and to keep myself motivated.
